Jack Killcoyne, a junior, pilots his team's boat in the Brooklyn Technical High School Cardboard Boat Regatta in the school's pool in Brooklyn in New York on Friday, March 1, 2013. The surviving boats were timed and the winners received bragging rights with an award also going to the most spectacular sinking. (© Richard B. Levine)
