The tiles memorializing the World Trade Center victims on the corner of Seventh Ave. S. and Greenwich Avenue in the New York neighborhood of Greenwich Village are seen on Thursday, September 13, 2012. The tiles have been removed on Friday, Sept. 14 by volunteers in advance of long-delayed construction of a sub-station on the site by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the owner of the property.
